Experience the holistic benefits of yoga and embark on a journey towards greater health, balance and inner peace by joining our group yoga classes. Yoga, originating from the Sanskrit word ‘yog’, which means ‘union’ and symbolizes the union of body, mind and spirit. At Home of Shivay, we believe that yoga is more than just a physical exercise - asana practice. Yoga provides a path to self exploration, discovery and growth. It helps us to become more present, be aware of our personal situation and brings balance to body, mind and spirit. Therefore in our yoga classes asana poses (physical poses) are integrated with yogic breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation practices to promote overall well-being. We are dedicated creating an inclusive environment where everyone can explore the benefits of yoga, every participant feels supported and valued and where you can relax, calm down, restore and rejuvenate. We are trained to teach yoga in various styles. At the moment you can join us in the following yoga classes: - Wednesday: 19.00 - 20.00: Yin Yoga @ Pura Vida Tremelo - Wednesday: 20.15 - 21.15: Yin Yang @ Pura Vida Tremelo - Saturday (every 2 weeks): 09.30 - 10.30: Vinyasa @ Pura Vida Tremelo - Saturday (every 2 weeks): 10.45 - 11.45: Yin Yang @ Pura Vida Tremelo Yin Yoga A slow, meditative practice focusing on holding passive posture for a longer time to gently stretch muscles and tissues. Yin yoga encourages deep relaxation, promote flexibility and joint mobility. It brings a calming balance to the body and the mind. Yin Yoga is suitable for all levels, especially for beginners. Yin Yang Yoga Yin Yang Yoga blends the best of both worlds: the calming deep stretches of Yin Yoga with more active and energizing posture of Yang Yoga. This balanced practices begins with slow poses to open the body, followed by a more active practice to build strength, flexibility and vitality. It offers relaxation and rejuvenation in one session and is suitable for all levels. Vinyasa Yoga Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic and flowing style of yoga that links breath with movements. In this practice each pose transitions into the next, creating a graceful and energizing sequence. It helps to build strength, flexibility and balance while also promoting mindfulness and a deep connection to the breath. It is a versatile and invigorating practice. Vinyasa yoga is most suitable for practitioners with some experience with yoga or sport enthusiasts.
